There's Purpose In Patience

There are so many stories of women in the Bible that prayed for something good, but then had to wait for an answer or solution to come.
Sometimes a woman would grow tired of waiting, and decide to take matters into her own hands, while another woman would wait patiently for an answer to her prayer.
I’ve been both types of women. There are times that I waited patiently for an answer to prayer.
There’s also been many more times that I tried to take control of the situation myself and force an outcome.
Either way, I learned that you’ll always end up with 1 of 2 different outcomes.
When you wait for the Lord, you build patience, endurance and excitement as you anticipate the coming of your answer.
When you wait patiently, you always receive the perfect answer at the perfect time, and the answer becomes even more precious to you because you know without a doubt that it was hand tailored for you from the Lord himself.
That in turn helps build your faith.
When you force an outcome, you encounter unnecessary stress, difficulty and usually some type of consequence due to the extra kinks that waiting would have removed or worked out.
As you go about your day today, purpose to be the woman that waits for her perfectly timed answer to prayer no matter how long it takes.
Remember that the Lord is good all the time and His purpose in the waiting is to grow you.
He loves you and wants the best for you so ask him for patience, praise him while you wait and thank him for sending it to you in it’s perfect time.
