Rest In Him, For Them

Updated: Sep 23

Every time that you choose to spend intentional time in God’s word and in prayer, you are choosing to do something that has significant eternal value.

There is always going to be a list of things that need tending to.

   chores

   bills

   dishes

   meals

   cleaning

   laundry

   homeschool

   kid’s Activities

   date Night

   church

   small Group

and on and on the list goes.

With so much on our plates, we can easily be tempted to wake up each day and immediately hit the ground running in order to get it all done.

The lie is that we need more time to do all the things.

The truth is that what we really need is:

   - Wisdom to know which things to prioritize

   - Patience when inconveniences pop up

   - Peace when we don’t get everything done

Wisdom, patience and peace is ours for the taking when we seek our Savior.

A woman that uses wisdom to prioritize her tasks will be a woman that is productive and not just busy.

A woman that has an abundance of patience will be able to see past her children’s bad behavior, all the way down to the root of the sin struggle taking place.

The woman that has peace even when her to-do list is not complete, will be a woman that is able to stop and pray for the stranger at the grocery store.

Our quiet times aren’t just for us, they are for every single person that the Lord places in our path for the day.

Our time in the presence of Jesus is not only a huge encouragement for us, but also for others, so the next time you are tempted to skip time with the creator of the universe.....don’t.

Ask him to help you spend time with him and he will help you.

Your quiet times are not just for you, and neither is your life.

Both are meant to be a blessing to those the Lord has placed in your care.

Whether you have 5 mins or an hour, get alone with God, pour out your heart to him, intercede for others and recharge your soul.
